Monkeys Retreat Closing
I have the regrettable job of informing everyone that Monkeys Retreat (the store) will be closing down on June 15th. The state of the economy and the book and magazine industry has forced us to look at the viability of keeping open the store at our current location. We love you all out there but we just don't see your faces in here very often and it is just a fact of our time.
The warehouse space behind the store will still be available for parties, rehearsal space and Tai Chi lessons. Whether we open another store front will depend on how the public responds to this during the next two months.
We are planning some events here to try and raise some help (and money for moving) but mostly to celebrate the good times we've had the last 36 years as a Space Age Variety Store. Starting April 27th we will start our blowout sale. Check the Sale link for more information.
Monkeys Retreat will not disappear all together.
We remain dedicated to being an influence in the realm of Health and Healing. Our classes and knowledge, in Tai Chi and Chi Kung (accumulated over 36 years) combined with our resource of books in the healing fields and my recent licensing as a Massage Therapist will still be under the banner of Monkeys Retreat. Gotta love that name. So please, watch this site next two months for things you can do, enjoy and help us with.
